This minimalist self-assembled pine chair, originally produced in 1974, is a model of modernist furniture design, noted for its elegance and modesty. Twenty individuals and creative teams have been invited to interpret and refashion Italian designer Enzo Mari’s iconic Sedia 1 chair. From a business structure perspective, our practice has evolved to intimately combine the fields of industrial design, architecture, manufacturing and materials research. This recently completed home rests on a 30 acre agricultural hay farm in the Canadian Pacific Northwest.
